Internships
An internship at Barclays Capital will give you an invaluable mix of training, mentoring and live work experience. Our summer Analysts and Associates receive broad exposure to the firm and gain a solid understanding of the strength of our global platform and culture. At the end of the internship, you should have the knowledge and skills to contribute as a full-time employee.
One of the reasons we believe our program is so successful is because of the work we do up-front in identifying the right people but it is also because we set up the program to help YOU succeed. We ensure you have multiple points of contact throughout the summer, numerous networking activities to enable you to meet business representatives and your summer classmates, and a mentor program designed to assist you in reaching your full potential by pairing you with a junior and senior mentor to provide insight into our business and the firm. Additionally, our appraisal process is designed to ensure you work closely with your manager to establish and pursue your individual objectives, and to give you feedback on any areas of improvement throughout the course of the summer.
Our 10-week Summer Internship Program runs from early June to August, and includes comprehensive training to ensure you can assimilate quickly into the firm and includes:
- Orientation to Barclays Capital
- Business overviews
- In-depth financial markets and product training
- Division-specific training
- Lectures and presentations from line professionals
- Social, networking, and philanthropy opportunities
In the Americas, we have internship opportunities across most of our businesses, and while the majority are based in New York, some may exist in Atlanta, Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Menlo Park, Sao Paulo and Toronto.
